Mega Man: Dr. Wily's Revenge / Rockman World (7.26.91)
One of the most beloved of the NES to Game Boy ports, in researching this game I was surprised to learn that a separate developer, Minakuchi Engineering, was responsible for this as well as Rockman World 3 through 5 on the Game Boy.

Resurrected boss characters are your opponents, as Rockman is in for a HUGE, TOUGH fight on the Game Boy!
The super-popular Rockman finally appears on the Game Boy! Like a 'super greedy' game, the most interesting elements from Rockman 1 and 2 on the Famicom have been gathered together in a single package! Familiar, resurrected boss characters and new original characters are here to challenge Rockman! Grow increasingly powerful with special weapons that power you up and make fighting all the more dramatic. Rockman, it's dangerous! Do your best, Rockman!!
Mega Man II / Rockman World 2 (12.20.91)
The huge Oni Heads and Tiger sprites from MM2 and 3 faithfully make their way to the humble Game Boy hardware. With mediocre reviews, and even Keiji Inafune being disappointed by the work of developer Thinking Rabbit, future Mega Man GB games returned to Minakuchi Engineering.

Rockman, any time, any place! The anticipated 2nd edition for the Game Boy!
Selecting the more appealing parts from the Famicom version of Rockman 2 and 3, once again a new world has been packed in to a special Game Boy version. With one challenge after another, take on the boss characters with their explosive special weapons! Your buddy Rush also tags along...in Rockman's huge showing!!
Mega Man III / Rockman World 3 (12.11.92)
The Game Boy amalgamation of Mega Man 3/4 introduces the 'Mega Man Killer,' Punk. A favorite of Keiji Inafune, he would reappear later on in the Battle Network series.

In the third edition of Rockman on the Game Boy, a huge rampage of action has been crammed onto the screen! Rockman's latest big outing is even more fun!!
The series' 3rd edition, "Rockman World 3," has been further improved! In addition to many (previous) unique characters, Game Boy original boss characters appear. Within the palm of your hands, you and Rockman can bring peace back to the world, together. The definitive action game "Rockman World 3," IS NOW INITIALIZING!!
Mega Man IV / Rockman World 4 (10.29.93)
Continuing the tradition of adding original boss characters to the mostly recycled NES content, Ballade looks quite cool, later reappearing in Mega Man 10.

Dr. Wily's evil hand extends! Rockman fights for the sake of peace!!
In the fourth addition of the Rockman World series, Rockman's buddy Rush joins in top form. This time, the game is a recompilation of content from Rockman 4 & 5 on the Famicom. In addition to 8 boss characters, the original boss "Ballade" joins the fray! Dr. Wily's attempts at world domination continue. Don't let him have his way! Mastering your technique, aim to clear the stages! Let's fight! Rockman!!
Mega Man V / Rockman World 5 (7.22.94)
The final Rockman World for the Game Boy featured a completely new world and cast. Rush even got to rest up at the kennel to make room for Mega Man's feline sidekick, Tango.
