I'm old enough to remember seeing this game often in arcades/convenience stores around the early 90s. However, I was young enough for those giant faces in the stones to be rather unnerving. >_<

Story

Brought over by beings from another world, people are using the giant computer known as “Dark” to revolutionize their civilization, advancing it from ancient times, towards a super-futuristic era. Suddenly, Dark goes mad and begins a killing spree, leaving humanity at the brink of extinction.

Grieving over these events, The God of War, Ares, endows two young people with the wings of love and courage, entrusting the future of humanity to them. No more time is left. "Dark" must be destroyed! The legendary warriors take off!!

Control Instructions

* Vertical scrolling portions

The player controls the game with the 8-way lever (stick) and 2 buttons. Button 1 is for mid-air attacks. Button 2 is for ground attacks.

*Horizontal scrolling portions

The player controls the game with the 8-way lever (stick) and 2 buttons. Button 1 is for attacks. Button 2 is for jumping.

*(Left caption) The beginning of a two-player adventure!

*(Center caption) Maneuver well, in order not to be inhaled by the giant face statues.

*(Right captions)  Defeat the gate keeper and enter the enemy base.

See if you can skillfully negotiate enemy attacks while gathering POWs hidden in the domes above ground. They will instantaneously expand your fighting abilities. However, don't take your concentration off the giant face statues, least they suck you in!
