In the past, the violent gang 'Mad Gear' had controlled Metro City. In order to save it, Mayor Mike Haggar was the one who stood up to them.
However, someone was waiting for him...going on to extract the lowest form of revenge.
On that day...
(Haggar) [Cody, Guy, my daughter Jessica has been kidnapped.]
(Cody) [That Mad Gear dirt, doing something that cowardly...I'll kick their asses.
(Guy) [I shall lend my assistance.]

How to control
*Press both buttons at once to perform your special move!
(Red button) Attack button
(Blue button) Jump button
*By tapping the attack button, perform one connecting attack after another.
*Combine joystick movement with the buttons to perform various techniques.
*Hit both buttons at the same time to perform your special move.
(But, a small amount of your vitality will be drained.)
(Translation note: Guy speaks in a old-fashioned Samurai dialect which I couldn't directly translate to English.)
