Before Doom was ported to everything from toasters to calculators, the 90s phenomenon was in huge demand during an era where not everyone owned a personal computer. The Super FX 2 enhanced SNES port performed quite roughly, but was still a minor miracle for a 16-bit console.

The two moons of Mars, Phobos and Deimos, are home to a top-secret military project, where research in the control of dimensional space has rapidly accelerated. One day, contact was finally established with an energy field from another dimension. This resulted in the surfacing of "horrible creatures".

The entire military force has been annihilated, except for you, the lone survivor...
