Mr. Gimmick / Gimmick! (1.31.92)
Once one of the rarest and most expensive NES titles, Gimmick was finally reissued in arcades in 2020 and the Nintendo Switch in 2023. With physics-intense platforming and incredible music powered by a custom sound-chip, Sunsoft was presumably challenging the likes of Super Mario and Mega Man by emphasizing the lack of 'gimmicky' power-ups in their own platformer.
