Dino Crisis Series Japanese Packaging / Box Art Translations

Dino Crisis (PlayStation) (7.1.99)

Taking the frightening scenarios of Jurassic Park and amplifying them into a full-fledged survival horror game, it's surprising that this Capcom franchise didn't attain an amount of proliferation and success rivaling Biohazard/Resident Evil.

Panic Horror

Spine Card:

Dinosaurs are amazing.

Back:

A roller coaster of Dinosaur Horror.

Dino Crisis 2 (9.13.00)

The strong tension and horror of the original gives way to a more mindless action game in the sequel. Though fans tend to be more fond of the first game, DC2 still reviewed quite well.

Spine card:

There is no way, but to defeat them.

Back:

A magnificent battle with the dinosaurs begins.

Dino Stalker / Gun Survivor 3: Dino Crisis (6.27.02)

I can remember how bizarre it felt to gaze at the game's box art, as it was one of Shinkiro/Toshiaki Mori earliest illustrations for Capcom after being synonymous with SNK for nearly a decade. You know the dinosaurs are mad when even the Triceratops is coming for you.

Exhilarating rapid-fire!

Huge, thrilling explosions!

Shoot as you're running! [Free Move]

Instantly swap your weapons [Gun Switching]

Quickly sense unseen enemies! [Moving Body Sensing]

And also, the tension of sniping!

Dino Crisis 3 (6.26.03)

One of gaming's most bizarre and easily forgotten sequels, the Dino Crisis franchise migrated to the X-Box and was met with negative reception for it's poor controls and camera. Interestingly, the game was originally set to take place in a city being laid to waste by dinosaurs, but the setting was changed due to the recent September 11 attacks.

This time, it's set in space!!

Sensation of Speed

Using the latest weapons, 'Booster Units' and 'WASPS,' battle the ferociously evolved dinosaurs at a pace exceeding the speed of sound!!

Sensation of Scale

Wandering through the vastness of space, you're within a gigantic immigration ship. In the series' grandest setting, the game unfolds in a space adventure!!

Sensation of Solidity

Within an assortment of stages, the cold, inorganic matter of the metal objects realize a futuristic style!
