Youkai Club (5.19.87)
Release shortly after Castlevania, Youkai Club features faster gameplay, interesting enemy designs and a novel experience system. While not considered a particularly great game overall, it would have been nice to see this released outside of Japan.

Long ago in the past, a family of Youkai were thought to have been eradicated. Planning to take control of the Human World, these evil Youkai have been resurrected...by the Youkai King!! The Youkai King's evil hand approaches the human world!
The only one who can rescue the world from this crisis is a young man whose psychic powers caught on to the plans of the Youkai King, Akira. Heading towards the base of the Youkai King, the Youkai Army stands in Akira's way! It's a clash between magnificent monster strength and psychic abilities!! Fate has been entrusted within the hands of Akira.
