Tomb Raider / Tomb Raiders (Sega Saturn) (1.14.97)
A huge hit on the PlayStation and PC in the mid-90s, Tomb Raider actually debuted on the Sega Saturn, which at that point was already taking on water during the 32-bit console wars. Second to Mario 64's revolutionary attainment of believable 3D worlds, Tomb Raider received a ton of attention for its attempt at 3D exploration and bold choice of a female protagonist. Downloading a demo on my PC, the janky controls didn't compare to the smoothness and speed of Mario 64. In Tomb Raider's defense, playing on a keyboard didn't help matters much.
