Breath of Fire IV: Those Who Won't Fade (PlayStation) (4.27.00)
Releasing late into the PlayStation's lifecycle, BOFIV executed 2D sprites atop 3D playfields to an even more impressive level than earlier games of as BOFIII, Xenogears and Final Fantasy Tactics. IV ended up being the last 'proper' JRPG in the series, as the PS2 and mobile sequels diverged into less well received dungeon exploration and online role playing styles.
