Final Fantasy III (All Systems) Japanese Packaging / Box Art Translations

Final Fantasy III (Famicom) (4.27.90)

A picture is worth a thousand words. The original Famicom release didn't have any marketing text on its packaging, but instead had beautiful illustrations by Yoshitaka Amano.

Final Fantasy III (Nintendo DS) (7.24.06)

After a decade and a half, Western audiences finally got to experience Final Fantasy III when it was remade into 3D. Wary of the game's purported high difficulty, I didn't get into it until much later. The back of the Japanese version features artwork by Akihiko Yoshida.

Once again, the eternal wind...

After many long years have passed, [Final Fantasy III] has finally been reborn!!

With their own thoughts within their heart, four main characters set off on an adventure.

Living in various states of circumstances, these young men and women encounter each other, and begin a grand story. By linking with friends to play, the story further expands

Graphics and Movies

While retaining the original world, the field is rendered in 3D and depicted in meticulously beautiful movies. The tale shines with even more brilliance.

A rich variety of jobs and abilities

With over 20 types of jobs, their respective abilities, and (the effect) they have on party  composition and battles, you're given more freedom and more enjoyment.

Similar to the Wonder Swan releases, a DS pack-in bundle was made available.

Final Fantasy III (PSP) (9.20.12)

Arriving 6 years after the DS remake, the wait was arguably well worth the wait. Incredibly taxing on the DS hardware, the PSP version features not only graphical upgrades, but valuable additions such as double battle speed. A must for busier adults who still wish to enjoy a favorite time suck of their youth.
