Streets of Rage / Bare Knuckle (Genesis / Mega Drive) (8.2.91)
Streets of Rage / Bare Knuckle (11.27.92)
Adam is somehow missing from the otherwise solid Game Gear port of Streets of Rage.
The feeling of speed, sense of exhilaration, diverse techniques and, of course, it's the decisive street fighting action series! Bring hope to the streets of darkness, with nothing but your fists! Bust up the mysterious syndicate!
Streets of Rage 2 / Bare Knuckle II (Mega Drive / Genesis) (1.14.93)
Streets of Rage 3 / Bare Knuckle III (3.18.94)
The black sheep of the series, Streets of Rage 3 eschewed the groovy club music for a much more aggressive and abrasive soundtrack. In addition to rewriting large parts of the plot, some depictions that were too problematic even by edgy 90s standards had to be removed for the American release.

In possession of the demonic atom 'Rakushin,' the syndicate brought a tragic explosion upon the public.
What aims are they aspiring towards?
Now, once again, Axel and his friends have fallen into a never-ending fight!
Streets of Rage 2 / Bare Knuckle II (7.23.94)
Of the handful of Game Gear titles I owned, I played this by far the most. A wonderful port of one of the most well done beat-em-ups of the 90s, but of course it's even better on the Genesis.
Once again, the evil has been resurrected...
Mr. X burns with the flames of revenge.
Axel and his companions begin a fight that edges even closer to death's door!
