Another one of gaming's most beloved franchises since the late 80s that took a dangerous leap of faith into 3D. Rather than attempting the difficult task of replicating the fast and precise 2D gameplay at the dawn of the 3D era, Legends / Dash completely changed the gameplay approach and presentation, giving it a unique charm that many prefer to the main series.

In this semi obscure, late generation PS One release, Mega Man Legends villainess Tron Bonne starred in her own spin-off game. Of course, she's most famous for her appearance in Marvel vs. Capcom 2.

Confusingly released within months of the Misadventures of Tron Bonne, Legends 2 not only got lost in the shuffle of the PS2 launch window, but within its own sub-series. The exciting box art, quite similar to Rockman X5, is far superior to the soulless American cover.
