Yoshi's Egg (Famicom) (12.4.91)
With a bright egg yolk background, Yoshi hatches onto the NES. From the day I first saw this game in Nintendo Power, I considered it a concession to those not lucky enough to receive a SNES at launch. Seeing Yoshi and references to Super Mario World on the box must have been torture for thousands of kids.

Goomba, Blooper, Piranha Plant, Boo: As they fall, create a pile of the same characters to make them disappear with a poof! Certain victory is decided on how you produce Yoshi eggs. Create eggs with skill to meet with 4 different kinds of Yoshis!
