The Super Nintendo package gets a more realistic and appetizing array of colors than the Famicom or Game Boy, suitable for the system's wide palette. The behind the box text is also completely different as more modes have been added to this edition.

Yoshi's Cookie has these three modes as pictured. Depending on the mode, the rules slightly differ, but the basics are the same. The basic rules are as depicted in the screens. Move the six types of cookies, and create rows with the same cookie types only. 'Action Mode' has you eliminate all the cookies shown on the screen. In 'Vs Mode' you will battle an opponent in order to clear 25 rows of cookies first. In 'Puzzle Mode,' you'll attempt to clear away the cookies with a set number of movements across various objectives. Well then, go on and play with your pals Yoshi, Mario, Peach and Koopa!!
