World Heroes (9.11.92)
One of my favorite SFII clones back in the day, World Heroes was highly enjoyable as kid for all it's ridiculous characters, which got even wilder as the series progressed. The death match battles were surprisingly satisfying as well.

Violent Fighting! SUPER Extreme Death Match!!
"Who is history's strongest hero?" The day has arrived to solve this mystery. A scientist with this very question has completed a time machine!
In order to show who's the strongest in history, 8 heroes have answered the call. Now, they travel through time.
-Variety, Special Moves!-
By combining the movements of the lever (stick) and buttons, unleash each character's special moves and flashy abilities. How far can you take all of the special moves, which can spell the difference between victory or defeat? Answer the challenge and aim for perfection!
-Extreme Death Match!-
For those not satisfied with the normal mode, there's a more suitably violent battle mode...'Death Match!' Under these various ring conditions, if you can still eke out a win, you'll certainly be remembered as the strongest in history!
