The Japanese cover for Mischief Makers is quite an eyeful! For a game blatantly embracing 2D on a new system that was all about 3D, it's somewhat odd that an awkward CG render was used for the North American cover. Those enemy faces look familiar? They're based on the near 2000 year old "Haniwa" pottery. Similar designs are also present in Animal Crossing, Ganbare Goemon, Okami and more.
