Final Fantasy Legend, The / Makai Toushi SaGa (Game Boy) Japanese Packaging / Box Art Translation

Final Fantasy Legend, The / Makai Toushi SaGa (Game Boy) (12.15.89)

The earliest games in the SaGa series were renamed Final Fantasy Legend when brought to America. Even as an elementary schooler with little industry knowledge, I was suspicious as the screenshots looked nothing like the game I struggled with on the NES.

Hell Tower Warrior SaGa

Here we aim to reach an unseen paradise. This is the tale of those journeying towards an unknown world. The center of where this tale unfolds is a giant tower, rising all the way to the heavens and connected to four worlds. What awaits you in this adventure? The Game Boy's first role playing game, is finally here!

Final Fantasy Legend II, The / SaGa 2: Hihou Densetsu (Game Boy) (12.13.91)

The 'Treasure Legend' sounds vaguely connected to Final Fantasy VI, featuring stones called the Magi and Ancient Gods.
