Ganbare Goemon: Mystery of the Black Ship Gang (12.4.97)
An overhead Zelda style action-adventure, Mystery of the Black Ship Gang was surprisingly brought to the west under the same style as the N64 game, Mystical Ninja Starring Goemon. Upon release, it didn't review too hot and was criticized for clunky gameplay.

"Goemon" meets the Gameboy. Along with Ebisumaru and Sasuke, he'll strike down the plots of the Black Ship Gang!!
* A total of 5 stages. The black ship gang will be tough to take down!!
* For boss fights, after the action portion, the battle will be decided with a "Surprise Match".
* There are seven types of "Surprise Matches," including a 100 meter race and tug-of-war. How far will you go?!
